About Us
Apple A Day Dietetics is a Southeast Queensland dietitian practice founded in 2009. For over 15 years, our team of Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs) has been providing evidence-based nutrition care to individuals, families, and communities across the Gold Coast, Logan, and Brisbane South.
We are proud members of Dietitians Australia — the peak professional body for dietitians in Australia — and our practitioners hold full APD registration, which means you can access our services through Medicare, the NDIS, DVA, and most private health funds. As a registered NDIS provider, we work with participants, Support Coordinators, and allied health teams to deliver tailored nutrition support for people living with disability.
Whether you are managing a chronic health condition, supporting a child with feeding difficulties, or navigating nutrition needs as a veteran or aged care resident, our team is here to help — in the clinic, in your home, or via telehealth.
What We Specialise In — From Weight Management to Disability Nutrition
Our dietitians have clinical experience across a wide range of health conditions and life stages. We do not take a one-size-fits-all approach; every nutrition plan we create is tailored to you, your diagnosis, your lifestyle, and your goals.
We work with clients across all our dietitian services, including people referred by GPs, hospitals, aged care facilities, and NDIS Support Coordinators.

NDIS Registered Provider — Dietitian Support
Apple A Day Dietetics is a registered NDIS provider with extensive experience supporting people living with disability across the Gold Coast, Logan, and Brisbane South. We have been working within the disability sector since before the NDIS rollout — our practice was founded in 2009 and has provided community nutrition support for over 15 years. That depth of experience in disability nutrition is something we are proud to offer every participant and their support team.
We work with NDIA-managed, plan-managed, and self-managed participants. Dietitian services for NDIS participants are most commonly funded through Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living (CB-IDL), and in some plans through Core Supports. We can assist Support Coordinators, Local Area Coordinators, and participants in understanding how nutrition support fits within a plan.

How NDIS Funding Covers Dietitian Services
The most common NDIS funding line for dietitian services is Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living (CB-IDL). This supports participants in building skills and capacity for everyday life, including nutrition management. Depending on your plan and goals, Core Supports may also apply.
We accept all plan management types — NDIA-managed, plan-managed, and self-managed. If you are unsure how your plan applies, contact our team and we will help you navigate the next steps. Referrals can be submitted by a Support Coordinator, allied health professional, family member, or the participant directly.

Our Approach — Evidence-Based Nutrition
We do not believe in one-size-fits-all diets. Nutrition is personal — shaped by your health history, your living situation, your cultural background, your family, and your goals. At Apple A Day Dietetics, we take the time to understand all of that before we make a single recommendation.
Every plan we create is grounded in evidence-based nutrition science — the same standards that inform clinical practice guidelines in Australia. But evidence alone does not make a good nutrition plan. What makes a plan work is whether you can follow it in your actual life, with your actual schedule, budget, and preferences. That is the standard we hold ourselves to.
We are particularly experienced in working with people who have complex needs — NDIS participants managing multiple health conditions, aged care residents with swallowing difficulties and malnutrition risk, children with feeding challenges, and patients juggling multiple medications and diagnoses. Complexity does not intimidate us; it is where we have spent most of our career.
As a community-based practice, we also maintain close relationships with local GPs, hospitals, allied health practitioners, and aged care organisations across Southeast Queensland. When you come to us, you are accessing not just our expertise, but our network — and we use that network in your interest.

How much does it cost to see a dietitian on the Gold Coast?
Dietitian consultation costs vary depending on your funding source. With a GP Management Plan, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate covering part of the cost.
